Dieter’s Party Agenda

It seems ironic that we become more diet focused when the holidays roll in. Party entrepreneurs know what’s in store for them during the bustle of the Halloween, Christmas and New Year parties. While one may not have enough time to eat properly during a party, the sheer number of parties to attend in a day or a week could make even the few bites that one eats in every party add up.

One option for a busy planner who can’t afford to exercise regularly because of a busy schedule is to consider the many fat burner products available in the market today. The more difficult option of course involves saying no to every plate offered during parties, which would take more than a bit of will power to achieve.

When asked to throw a weight watcher’s party, the first things to consider are the menu and the activities. You can serve a basket of protein bars and serve diet soda for those who need to munch something. A water dispenser can be made available for the thirsty party people who will be dancing the night away. Here’s a recipe for a low fat chicken dish that you can serve in a Dieter’s party.

Grilled Chicken with Crushed Ginger and Lemon Wedges
10 chicken breasts, skinless (may be cut up for bite-sized cannapes)
half cup orange juice
half cup lemon juice
3-4 cloves crushed garlic,
2 tablespoons crushed ginger
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Sesame oil for basting
Salt and Pepper

Marinate the chicken in the mixture of all the remaining ingredients overnight. Drain the chicken pieces and combine the sesame oil and marinade. During the preparation time before the party, grill the chicken pieces over hot coals, turning now and then and basting with the sesame oil-marinade mixture. When the chicken is cooked through, cut up and serve with crackers as cannapes.
