How to Throw a Party Like a Pro

Quick Party Tip: Corporate Party

Categories: The Business Side of Things, Theme Parties

Party season’s up and because everyone’s busy with the various festivities related with the holidays, there are some party planners that prepare a one-party-fits-all type of corporate party. This is very convenient in that the party entrepreneur can buy supplies in bulk and develop a routine for event organization and flow.

My belief, however, is that one should tailor a corporate party according to the needs of the employees in the company. Are most of them women? How many are moms? What is the average age of the employees?

While developing an innate ability to sense out the needs of the party goers according to demographics, one of the best ways to customize a ‘generic’ corporate party theme is to determine the nature of the company. For example, a stressful job like that in debt collection agencies may need some soothing music and a quiet yet elegant party environment. As opposed to the subdued party, a noisier, more prom dance-like corporate party may be ideal for home based employees who are raring to go to a wild party.
