Graduates, Why Not Join the Party Industry?
Heya new grads! I know you are raring to find jobs in today’s nasty economy so I’m going to give you a nice grad tip… use your college diploma to land the best jobs but your education must not stop there. Why not get the hottest skills needed in the party industry?
I’m sure you’re asking why you must take a job in this industry? The answer is simple. The party / food / supplies industry is one of the few ones that can weather any economic storm.
People have to throw parties to celebrate their milestones, their kids’ milestones and their parents’ milestones. Celebrations are a part of life… having fun and spending a day toasting a blessing or a great event is the only way people can prevent themselves from going into bouts of self pity.
Think about it, we already know we’re poor and the economy is nuts, so why worsen the situation by skipping a birthday bash? The truth is, people don’t want to feel poor even if they know they are. Sure, they can postpone their Caribbean trips while their credit cards are busted, but you can be sure that there will always be a few thousands stashed away for the grandest birthday or retirement party ever.
I think the party industry is recession proof, and that the importance of togetherness and family takes center stage when people start thinking of what’s REALLY important.
