What’s so special about the second part of the year?
What is its relevance to you as a party planner?
If you haven’t been planning parties for a living for long, here’s a tip for you. Start preparing for the activities in the next six months! It’s going to be hectic. For starters, you need to start organizing your plans for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas as early as June-August, so you can give yourself breathing room before you even touch the New Year Festivities.
- Start creating party packages and contact your caterer friends to synchronize plans.
- Make sure your prices are still ok. Inform your old clients if you’re increasing your planning fee.
- Make sure the weddings you’re going to organize in the next months don’t eat up all your resources. Remind your clients to pay down payment early (for buying favors, decorations etc.) and to confirm their wedding dates, so you won’t have to accept more bookings.
- Do some debt consolidation so your credit card is ready to rock and roll during crunch time (it would be kind of embarrassing if you arrive late to party because the gas station rejected your maxed out card).
- Grab some new clothes and start your closet inventory to find out which clothes are still ok, and which ones should go.
