How to Throw a Party Like a Pro

Black and White Elegance in Bathroom Decor

Categories: Home Decorating

Bathrooms are supposed to be utility rooms in a home, but it’s undeniable that this room can also be used to showcase your style and flair for elegance as a party planner. Particularly if you have a restaurant, this room is crucial to making guests feel welcome.

On the site BetterBathrooms.com, I noticed some patterns I liked… such as the black and white tiles. I think this color scheme works if you’re going for the dramatic look. But this could be difficult to pull off if the entire room doesn’t match the shades of the checkered black and white tiles.

But let’s consider the benefits of using black as accent color. This shade contrasts with most pastels, but it works best with white and silver. I think an all-white or all-silver (all aluminum) bathroom looks spartan and stark, but adding black will anchor the over-all design; giving the room a unique sophistication. If combined together with these stark colors, black will stand out and be the center of attention (like a black shower, also in the website).

To sum it up, I think black and white can be used if your style is contemporary or minimalistic.

The use of this color combination in the French Country design is strangely appealing, no matter how many times you see other color combinations (cool colors, blue and white; and warm colors, red and peach). Advertiser Plug: Check out more bathrooms designs
