How to Throw a Party Like a Pro

Corporate House Party: Product Demos and Good Buffet Set Up

Categories: Party Venue, Theme Parties

Throwing corporate parties at home can be tricky. First, your house must be set up to accommodate guests who may not know each other yet. Second, you must have a way to spark conversation in any room of the house. And third, each room must be set up so the sponsors or the company throwing the party can show off their products.

If you’re hosting a corporate house party and you want it to be the talk of the town for years to come, here are some tips for you.

1. Plan the party around snack time so you can serve finger foods on small plates. Ideally, a small table laden with food must be present in each room so guests can move from one room to another and mingle while carrying their small plates and picking up food whenever they feel like it.

2. Product demo personnel and presenters must mingle among the guests and have a way to show off the merchandise in the major rooms of the house (living room, the den or even the kitchen!). If you have a video ready, you can install mounts around the house to display your merchandise.

3. Have plenty of seats set up close to each other, for when the guests want to sit down and talk business while eating.

4. Replenish the buffet tables every thirty minutes or so. There’s nothing that turns off guests more than a buffet table with no food left before the party’s over.

5. Prepare party favors in the company’s colors, or with a sample of the product you’re endorsing.
