How to Throw a Party Like a Pro

Holiday Gifts and Advertising During the Holidays

Categories: Gift Ideas, The Business Side of Things

The more party services you can provide, the more profitable your business becomes! But how can your prospects learn about the value added services you offer if they haven’t met you and if they aren’t open to the concept of letting someone else handle their parties?

Needless to say, you have to be extra creative in spreading the word about your new business during the holidays. It goes without saying that you will have to shell out a portion of your earnings during the year to fund for your holiday advertising materials.

Now you might be asking… why are the holidays so significant for your party business?

The answer is simple: not everyone will hire you to handle their parties but everyone will be having parties at home or attending parties in friends’ homes. Everywhere you look, someone’s throwing a pre-holiday bash or a company year-ender party for employees. Now is the time to strike if you want your name or your brand in front of these people.

You an go for the staples… home-printed business cards, brochures, photo holiday cards and next year’s calendars.

Or you can get creative.

One option you have to look at is creating hand-painted dinnerware, homemade place mats and personalized coasters. You can do it yourself or ask an artist friend to paint your logo and your contact information on these dinner items. You can also order online from trusted merchants. Parties are all about food, and if you can place your brand on the dinner table, you will be able to grab your prospects’ attention without trying too hard.

Now, how can you make sure that they see it? You can give these away as holiday gifts to friends who are likely to throw their parties at home! Rely on your good taste to create or pick out trendy designs for your promo materials and send them to your friends long before the holidays.

This is a great way to exploit the human tendency to put off planning for events until the last minute. When they create a checklist of stuff to buy, they can pass on buying new coasters, placemats and what-not because they already have some on hand… your holiday gifts!
