Diet and Exercise During the Holidays
Party Planners Should Start Winter Exercising
It’s funny how we often forget to exercise when we’re really busy. Thirty minutes in the gym sounds like a luxury when you barely have time to think about anything else except your schedule. Now, with the onset of the cold season coming, we have other excuses not to exercise… it’s too cold, we’re too busy, and we can always make exercising a New Year’s Resolution (this means we can bail out of the no-exercise guilt for at least a few more months). It cannot be denied that winter is busy because of the parties and holiday prep, it’s dark outside and it’s too cold to go jogging. But heed this… the unhealthy habit of procrastination will not help your party business at all.
From now until Valentines, you’re going to be on your feet, which means you must find ways to sustain that energy and not get sick while the orders and job opportunities are pouring in. Not getting enough physical activity during the winter shouldn’t hinder you from eating right, exercising at home, or taking a walk to the convenient store instead of driving.
Joining a gym is also a great idea during the winter season. Most of the gyms I’ve visited are giving away generous discounts. Plus, you never know how an hour a day going there can find you your next prospects. Of course, if winter weight is the problem, you can always use weight loss pills to supplement your power walking, 10 minute jogging around the neighborhood and dashing through department stores to buy supplies (shopping IS exercise, believe it!).
