How to Throw a Party Like a Pro

Party Photography – Nice Side Business for a Party Planner

Categories: The Business Side of Things

You know what else makes a party perfect besides the food and the setting? It’s the memories that people create with every party. Think of all the party bloopers, or how silly everyone looked wearing funny hats during a favorite grandchild’s first birthday bash. If you can capture all those in print, and add a package to your party planning services that highlights these moments in photo, you can add something of value that other party planners don’t offer. Like what?

Personalized “Thank You” Photo Magnets or Cards

Get an employee or an assistant to take the photos, or you can do it yourself. Then, upload the photos to a website that does all the personalizing for you and voila… you have your personalized thank you cards or magnets that contain the photo of the one you’re thanking. If you’re artistic, and you have the software, you can print out personalized thank you cards yourself to save tons of cash. You can bet that these photo “souvenirs” will stay on as mantle decorations or scrapbook valuables for a long time.

The good news is, you can charge for this service and it doesn’t cost much to set up. Canvas for the best digital cameras around and get one that’s reasonably cheaper than the rest. Next, get a printer and a card-making software. Basically, you’d be charging for ink and batteries, and maybe a good graphic artist’s fees, but the thing is that you can extend your party business just by adding this kind of photography service.
