How to Throw a Party Like a Pro

Company Giveaways During Your Company Summer Party

Categories: Events, The Business Side of Things

We all know the recruitment time is coming, with the many graduates that will be infiltrating the ranks (or trying to, anyway) of companies worldwide. The mid-year bonuses are also coming up and everyone’s preparing for a fun summer ahead.

Considering this, it may be a good time to throw a mid-year company party for your loyal employees. if you can’t afford to send people to resorts, why not have one nearby and simply make up for the lack of “beach” amenities by giving away some corporate gifts?

You can turn it into a raffle if the budget is tight. you can give away surfboards, prepaid cell phones, umbrellas, custom water bottles, watches and tote bags. Summer is also the season for fitness centers, and you can bet your employees are members of this or that gym. For this personalized water bottles and gym bags are some giveaway ideas you can consider.

Food and Beverages

Having a party after working hours is tricky. You don’t want to catch your employees rushing out the exit to get to the rush hour bus or train. Having one on a weekend is even trickier. Weekends are sacred to nine-to-fivers, and these are best devoted to their family. So, the best time to have your mini party will have to be during an extended break time, when everyone’s willing to unwind and drink coffee, or some smoothies.

You can serve cookies, sandwiches, quick bites (hotdog buns, fastfood burgers or individually wrapped brownies). A quick party inside the cafeteria may be one of the few times your employees will get to socialize with each other, so it’s best to make it a fun affair for everyone.

How About a Recruitment Party?

You can choose to have your party later on when the newbies have joined, and there are new people to welcome in the company. I know times are tough nowadays, but it doesn’t hurt to have a small party like this to boost morale, and make everyone feel that there’s hope for the future.
