How to Throw a Party Like a Pro

Summer Time is Pageant Time

We all know about beauty pageants right? It’s the time to wear beautiful clothes and parade with our kids in tow to watch the county’s beauties battle it out on the stage filled with sparkling lights and Barbie-like contestants.

Pageants are also a party planner’s dream come true. Why?

There are pageant parties to attend and organize. There are also the beauty contestants and their assistants to provide food for. If you’ve ever organized a pageant or was a part of the production staff, you’d know that in every nook and cranny of the venue has people needing help with organizing and supplies.

Do you have to be a gofer for everyone at once? Nope. You can do the opposite. Be there and participate one way or another. It’s the best time to build connections.

The bottomline is that you can find so many ways to use a beauty pageant to make your business boom.

1. Create a Beauty Pageant Theme

If you can take all the elements of a traditional beauty pageant, sans the judging and the actual contest, you can create a theme that will delight every mom with a pretty daughter. Think of this theme as an alternative to the fairytale princess theme (which is so common, if you know what I mean).

You will need sashes, tiaras and flowing pink robes for the celebrant and her friends. You can serve juices in goblets so that the kids can feel really grown up. You can have talent “contests”, or production numbers prepared in advance by the kids (and their parents).

2. Be a Consultant for a Real Beauty Pageant

In any event, there are two groups of people that are really working hard… the promoters and the organizers. If you can make life easier for these two groups by offering to handle some of the tasks (contacting caterers, subcontracting the decorations, hiring a DJ, hiring a band, serving snacks etc.), you can enjoy yourself and end up earning a bit of cash.

Your connections as a party planner and your ability to stay organized and focused under MASSIVE stress will be regarded as valuable in an event where everyone’s pressured to put out with all they’ve got.

Of course, if you’d rather go as a parent looking to make her daughter join a beauty pageant someday, you can observe the whole proceedings and start planning. Take care of your daughter’s skin, or consider some supplements like hgh if she’s already an adult and you want her to add more inches.
