How to Throw a Party Like a Pro

Eat Something Light Before a Party

Categories: Personal

Here’s one of the trade secrets that party planners have to learn when dealing with the stress of planning a party… meal management. If you think you can grab a quick bite in the party you’re going to and you don’t need to eat before going out, you’ll be in trouble when the stress level rises and this or that crisis crops up.

Eat something light before a party to keep you going, because you won’t be able to eat during the party. If you risk it, you’ll end up eating a lot. If you decide to not eat anything, you’re bound to send your energy level plunging and that won’t help your business at all. So, eat at home, even if it’s just a salad.

Even if you’re in a diet, don’t go starving. If you consume too few calories you will actually send your body into a tailspin, and it will go on crisis mode. This means you’re going to be lightheaded and can’t think clearly because your body is reserving what little energy you have to keeping the more important processes going (digestion, respiration etc). Starving yourself (and using work as an excuse) will only contribute to weight gain as opposed to weight loss.

If it’s impossible for you to keep your portions small, you can go for stuff like phentermine or appetite suppressants that won’t harm your body. These will help with the cravings or “eating more than you should”. You can use these as an alternative to candy when you’re just about ready to dive in a scrumptious buffet because all you had was a small snack at home.
