Destination Weddings: Some Mistakes to Avoid
Have you ever dreamed about going to another country to get married? Destination weddings are becoming popular because of the benefits of throwing a party in a country wherein 5,000 dollars can allow you and your guests to live like kings for a week. The best part is, you get to go directly to the place where you’re spending your honeymoon.
But there are some pitfalls involved in destination weddings…
1. the Language Barrier
For your sake, bring an interpreter if none of your guests can speak the local language. It’s difficult to convey what you mean if you have to rely on a dictionary to formulate sentences.
2. the Clothes
Make sure all the clothes you’re going to wear during the wedding fit you like a glove. Don’t buy clothes a few sizes smaller just because you’re taking a top diet pill or you’ve been working out for a few months.
If your destination wedding is on an Island, you may not be able to find a clothing shop that can help you deal with a wardrobe emergency.
3. Jetlag
I know it’s stressful to have a wedding in a place you’re not familiar with, and it can be hell dealing with jetlag on top of everything else. Make sure you don’t get stressed too much during your flight, and hire a party planner to handle the small details so you won’t have to run around when it’s time to party.
