How to Throw a Party Like a Pro

Party Planner Side Business: Sell Homemade Party Giveaways

Categories: Party Giveaways, The Business Side of Things

During economic crisis, party planners struggle like everyone else, or perhaps more so because we thrive when people have enough to celebrate their milestones with a bang. So, this is the time to get smart. And, you can start doing this with your repeat customers.

People develop an incredible sense of loyalty for the providers of goods and services when the experience has been good. If a repeat client asks about the possibility of using your services discounted, you can agree and offer an additional service like taking care of the giveaways. This way, they can save more. By stepping in and offering them more chances to save, you’re earning more because of future repeat businesses and referrals.

What party giveaways can you create at home? I’d say candles and soaps. Between the two, candles have a longer shelf life so you can buy materials that will keep for a long time.

You can have a few samples displayed in a small shop, so that people can order a design in bulk. Going further, you can make this a permanent side business, just in case more and more clients want to go DIY in their party planning. You can set up a boutique, invest on POS systems scanner or cash register, and simply vend party supplies and giveaways when you run out of your usual party consulting gigs.
