Your High School Reunion Party – What to Expect
The holidays include long vacations and going back to hometowns to spend the vacation days there. A lot of high school alumni organizations take the opportunity to throw a reunion party.
If it’s your first time attending, you will probably notice that people are mostly at their best behavior for the first half of the evening. Then, the old personalities that you loved (and hated) during your high school days will start to resurface as people get more comfortable.
If you happen to be the party planner for a high school reunion party, you will notice right away that the same personalities tend to stick together in groups seated around tables, while the others (the lone wolves) are the ones that mingle and talk with the old teachers.
One of the most amusing things about a high school reunion party is the gossiping that goes on over a large plate of appetizers. It’s like the minds of all the powerful, all-business men and women regressed to their high school states. If you happen to be serving the food while they chattered away unconcerned about who could hear them, you will hear stories about who got a plastic surgery, who probably knows all thebest diet pills for women and who recently got married. Of course, everything is said in the spirit of good fun so all’s good.
