How to Throw a Party Like a Pro

Pampering the Unsung Heroes of Every Successful Party

Categories: The Business Side of Things

The backstage prep work is as important as the front room management when it comes to throwing the best party ever. What happens behind the scenes could directly affect the way your party would turn out. Here are some of the people who are responsible for amazing backstage work that could make or break your party…

MakeUp Artists and Stylists

This covers everyone who helped with beautifying the debutante in a debut party, the bride in a wedding party and everyone else. The people who do the hair and make up of the celebrant, the hostess and the guests work as hard as anybody. In fact, they may be the most hardworking of all because they often rush to do a great job without a break all throughout the party. Everyone needs their makeup retouched, and there are wardrobe malfunctions in every party. These are the people that deal with these emergencies.

How to Pamper Your Party Staff

What you can do is to set up a separate buffet table and break room for these backstage prep employees. While the guests are eating, they should be off the hook and able to relax while talking about best acne treatments and sipping drinks. This is also for your peace of mind. Some party hosts don’t take kindly to the help eating and mingling with the rest of the guests. To avoid this awkwardness, simply set up a separate arrangement for your employees’ comfort.
